DESCRIPTION:This CPD will be delivered online as a webinar. \nA webinar is an interactive online seminar that is led by the tutor and allows participants in different locations to be guided through the course content\, hear the presenter\, ask questions\, and be involved in group discussions. \nAll our webinars are hosted on Zoom. \nThis workshop will raise your awareness of signs of abuse and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively\, appropriately\, and effectively should the need ever arise. \nWho is the course designed for? \nAnyone working with children both in a swimming teaching and coaching environment. \nCompleting this course will support your club SwimMark submission and is an integral part of Swim England’s Stronger Affiliation process. \nCourse content \nSwim England’s Safeguarding CPD is bespoke and reflects the needs of a pool environment. The course will help you to understand: \n\nWhat child safeguarding and child protection means\nKey government legislation in relation to safeguarding and protecting children\nSwim England’s safeguarding policies and procedures\nThe types\, signs\, and symptoms of child abuse\nHow to respond to possible signs of child abuse and take appropriate action if concerns arise.\n\n\nPrerequisites\nMust be a member of Swim England to be able to attend. \nYou must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course. \nCost: £12.00 (non-refundable). \nIf for any reason the course has to be cancelled by the Regional Office then a refund or alternative course will be offered. \nSENW Terms and Conditions \nClosing Date: 9am\, Monday 28th October 2024 \nSwim England North West Limited uses Zoom Communications Inc to provide video conferencing technology to deliver this service\, the session may be recorded for training and quality purposes.

DESCRIPTION:The Swim England Welfare Officer Training (Time to Listen) course is available to Club Welfare Officers (or assistant Welfare Officers space permitted) who must be over the age of 18. \nAttendees must have attended a Swim England Safeguarding course within the last 3 years. \nThe course will run for three hours\, breaks will be provided throughout. \nTechnical Requirements to Access the Online Classroom: \nThe online classroom is powered by Zoom. \nYou will need the following equipment: \n\nHeadset or a device with speakers\nDevice with a microphone\n\nAttendees must be a \n\nmember of Swim England to attend this course.\nbe over 18 years of age\n\nCost: £12.00  the region will reimburse the full cost of the course once competed\, no refund will be offered for non attendance/cancellation 7 days or less prior to the course (please refer to terms and conditions for full details) \nIf for any reason the course has to be cancelled by the Regional Office then a refund or alternative course will be offered. \nSENW Terms and Conditions \nClosing Date: 9am\, Monday 25th November 2024.  \nSwim England North West Limited uses Zoom Communications Inc to provide video conferencing technology to deliver this service\, the session may be recorded for training and quality purposes.
