Backfilling will occur following withdrawals from other competitors. The specific events\, age groups\, and number of backfilled entries will be determined at the discretion of the Championship Manager. All decisions made by the Championship Manager are final. \nAthletes selected for backfilling will be notified via email\, and an updated Accepted Entries document will be published. Updated entries will be released according to the following schedule: \nWeek 1: Monday\, 23rd March \nWeek 2: Monday\, 20th April \nWeek 3: Monday\, 27th April \n  \nSpectator Tickets  \nSpectator Tickets will need to be purchased prior to the sessions. \nPurchase of tickets: These can be purchased via the Regional Website up until the Thursday prior to the event taking place. \nLiverpool \n£10.00 per person per day\n£6.00 per session per day \nNo tickets will be available to purchase by card or cash at the venue\nDue to the venue capacity a limited number of tickets will be available and strictly 1 ticket per swimmer. \nIf tickets remain this will increase to 2 tickets per swimmers details can be found on the Event Page once ticket sales are advertised. \nTickets for Liverpool Weekend 3 in May are available here. \nManchester  \n£10.00 per person per day\n£6.00 per session per day \nOnline purchase advised. \nNo limit on tickets subject to venue reaching capacity. \nFurther tickets may be available at the venue by CARD ONLY Must purchase online prior to the event \nTickets for Manchester are available here.  \n  \nFurther information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

DESCRIPTION:Swim England North West are pleased to announce the initial training session and selection of the team to represent the North West Region at the U16 Boys Inter-Regional Championships 2026. \nFollowing the first session selected athletes will invited to a further 2 training sessions for a chance to compete in the North West Boys U16 Inter Regional team. \n  \nCompetition date 27th & 28th June 2026 \n(All athletes must be available this weekend). \n  \nPlayers must be registered as Swim England Club Compete (previously Cat 2) in order to attend Regional Academy Training. \n  \nFor players born 2011/2012 \n  \nTrial session time and venue \nSaturday 16th May 2026\, 18:00 – 20:00 at East Manchester Leisure Centre. \n  \nFurther two training session dates if selected for the next stage (Cost £40.00): \nSaturday 30th May 14:00 to 16:00 at East Manchester Leisure Centre. \nSaturday 13th June 14:00 to 16:00 at East Manchester Leisure Centre. \n  \nSessions will consist of \nIntroduction \nWarm Up \nSwim tests \nTechnique assessment \nScrimmages \nMatch play \n  \nParticipants should bring trainers and kit to each session for a land warm up which may be required for some sessions. \n  \nPlease ensure the Health form below is completed by the deadline of  Thursday 13th May\, \nClick here to access the health form \n  \nClosing Date; 9am\, Thursday 13th May 2026. \nSENW Terms and Conditions \nPersonal belongings remain the responsibility of the individual and are taken into venues at the individuals own risk. DESCRIPTION:Ready to swap the pool for open water and take your swimming to the next level? \nWith the 2026 Regional Open Water Swimming Competition fast approaching on Saturday 27 June\, Swim England North West is thrilled to offer two exclusive ‘Introduction to Open Water Swimming’ sessions – perfect for anyone curious\, adventurous\, or gearing up for their first open water race. \nThese sessions are designed for swimmers who want to build confidence\, learn the essentials\, and experience the thrill of open water in a safe\, supportive environment. \nTo join the adventure\, you’ll need to: \n\nBe 12+ on 31 December 2026\nBe a Swim England club compete member\nWear a wetsuit (hire available at £5 per session – let us know your height when registering)\nWear a bright swim hat (this will be provided on the day)\nBe comfortable swimming 2000m\nFamiliarise yourself and agree to the SENW Code of Conduct\nComplete a Health Form prior to the first session\n\nAttendance at BOTH sessions is required:  \n\nSession 1: Sunday 17 May 2026\, 4.00-5.15pm (Introduction to Open Water Swimming\, relevant skills of acclimatisation/warm up\, sighting\, turning around buoys\, drafting\, race starts and tactics\, followed by a short training race.)\nSession 2: Saturday 6 June 2026\, 4.00-5.15pm (Review of skills from Session 1\, followed by a longer training session around the race course)\n\nWhat to expect: You’ll be sharing the course with other swimmers\, so spatial awareness is key. Remember to bring warm clothes\, a hot drink\, and a snack for after your swim – trust us\, you’ll appreciate them! Wetsuits are likely to be required for the first session\, and if you’re bringing your own\, wait until you arrive before putting it on. Don’t forget suitable footwear for the dryland warm‑up. \nIf you’re ready to feel the buzz of open water\, build new skills\, and dive into something unforgettable\, these sessions are your perfect starting point. \nWith entries for this year’s Open Water Swimming Competition closing on Wednesday 10 June 2026\, there’s no better moment to dive in and discover whether open water is your next big challenge.
