Backfilling will occur following withdrawals from other competitors. The specific events\, age groups\, and number of backfilled entries will be determined at the discretion of the Championship Manager. All decisions made by the Championship Manager are final. \nAthletes selected for backfilling will be notified via email\, and an updated Accepted Entries document will be published. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThis CPD will be delivered online as a webinar. \nA webinar is an interactive online seminar that is led by the tutor and allows participants in different locations to be guided through the course content\, hear the presenter\, ask questions\, and be involved in group discussions. \nAll our webinars are hosted on Zoom. \nThis workshop will raise your awareness of signs of abuse and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively\, appropriately\, and effectively should the need ever arise. \nWho is the course designed for? \nAnyone working with children both in a swimming teaching and coaching environment. \nCompleting this course will support your club Swim England’s Stronger Affiliation process. \nCourse content \nSwim England’s Safeguarding CPD is bespoke and reflects the needs of a pool environment. The course will help you to understand: \n\nWhat child safeguarding and child protection means\nKey government legislation in relation to safeguarding and protecting children\nSwim England’s safeguarding policies and procedures\nThe types\, signs\, and symptoms of child abuse\nHow to respond to possible signs of child abuse and take appropriate action if concerns arise.\n\n\nPrerequisites\nMust be a member of Swim England to be able to attend. \nYou must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course. \nCost: £20.00 (non-refundable). \nIf for any reason the course has to be cancelled by the Regional Office then a refund or alternative course will be offered. \nSENW Terms and Conditions \nClosing Date: 9am\, Wednesday 12th November 2025 \nSwim England North West Limited uses Zoom Communications Inc to provide video conferencing technology to deliver this service\, the session may be recorded for training and quality purposes.

DESCRIPTION:The Swim England North West (SENW) Young Volunteer Award (YVA) is designed to provide young people\, between the ages of 14 and 17 the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge\, skills and experience to prepare them as Volunteers within Aquatic Sport.  The Award has been designed to suit young people from any Aquatic Discipline\, (Swimming\, Water Polo\, Artistic Swimming and Diving). \nYoung Volunteers (YV) must be available to attend the following 2 dates – Monday 23rd June 2025 and Monday 30th June 2025\, and will then have 12 months from the 2nd Zoom session to complete the course (the course must also be completed prior to the YV’s 18th Birthday). DESCRIPTION:Swim England North West are pleased to inform our members that we are resuming the long awaited Regional ‘Skills Sessions’.  These were previously delivered around the Region prior to Covid\, however due to various mitigating factors\, we have been unable to offer them over the last few years. \nThe Skills Sessions will take place around the Region during 2025\, the first of which has been programmed to take place at Kendal Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th January 2025 from 1pm – 4.30pm. \nPlease note\, further Skills Sessions will become available as soon as they have been organised\, these will be at different venues around the Region. \nThis first session will focus on ‘Starts and Turns‘ and will be open to any Swim England North West athlete who is: \n\nRegistered as a ‘Club Compete’ member\nAged 12 or 13 years on the day of the session\nCounty Standard or above and be able to provide details of at least 1 x qualifying event/s during the booking process (this will be checked)\n\nThe session itself will last 3 hours 30 minutes in total and will consist of the following: \n\n1300hrs – 1400hrs – Studio session\n1400hrs – 1600hrs – Pool session\n1600hrs – 1630hrs – Studio session\n\nAn Athlete Health Form must be completed for each Athlete registering to attend  – failure to do so will result in the Athlete being unable to take part in the session\, please only complete this Health Form once you have a confirmed place. \nDuring the booking\, you will be required to confirm you or the athlete are aware of the ‘SENW Code of Conduct‘ and ‘SENW Terms and Conditions‘\, we would therefore request that you read these prior to completing the booking process\, these are applicable for all SENW Events and Courses. \nAny coaches from around the Region who would like to get involved in the delivery of the session\, or attend as volunteer coaches in order improve or pass on their knowledge and experience\, are requested to contact the SENW Regional Office via clubdevelopment@swimnorthwest.org. \nDeadline for all bookings will be 9am on Monday 13th January 2025 or as soon as the session is fully booked.

SUMMARY:SENW Water Polo U16 Girls Inter Regional Academy
DESCRIPTION:Swim England North West are pleased to announce training and selection of the team to represent the North West Region at the U16 Inter-Regional Championships 2024 at Liverpool Aquatics Centre on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June. \nThe North West won silver at the U14 Inter-Regional Championships 2022 and qualified for division one\, which is being run as a combined event with the boys using two pitches throughout the weekend. \nPlayers must be registered as Swim England Club Compete (previously Cat 2) in order to attend Regional Academy Training. \nFor players born 2009 and younger. \n  \nDates/Venue for sessions\n  \nSaturday 4th May 2024 \n15.00-18.00 \nEast Manchester Leisure Centre \n  \nSunday 2nd June 2024 \n10.30-13.30 \nLiverpool Aquatics Centre \n  \nSaturday 15th June 2024 \n15.00-18.00 \nEast Manchester Leisure Centre \n  \nPlease ensure the Health form below is completed by the deadline of  Tuesday 30th April. \nClick here to access the health form \n  \nClosing Date; 9am\, Tuesday 30th April 2024 \n  \nSENW Terms and Conditions \nPersonal belongings remain the responsibility of the individual and are taken into venues at the individuals own risk.
