Welcome to September’s monthly update on Sport England’s Club Matters. Below you will find an overview of our latest updates as well as attachments containing text, which you can copy and paste to use in your own newsletters and social media.
As always, a big thank-you from the team for your continued support!
Enhancing club experience for young people
Young people are keen to develop their identities. They want positive experiences that are social, collaborative, rewarding and personalised. Our new guidance provides an insight into youth personalities, which will help clubs create the best possible experience for them.
Our support also shows clubs how to engage with young people in a way that’s right for them, which is key to maintaining future engagement. Click here to start exploring the new material and share it with your sports clubs.
Clean sport guidance for clubs
Club Matters has teamed up with UK Anti-Doping to bring guidance to sports clubs and promote clean sport. In this new section of our website, clubs can find out what doping can involve, download resources illustrating a best-practice approach to anti-doping and access links to further support.

Supporting European Week of Sport
As many of you will be aware, 23rd to 30th September is European Week of Sport. This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs across the continent to come together and celebrate sport and physical activity. Club Matters will be supporting the campaign by using the #beactive hashtag on Social Media, and we hope you can do the same.
