England North secured top spot on the points table for the swimming events at the 2017 School Games at Loughborough University. Spurred on from their lead at the end of day one, the Northern swimmers continued their good form into the second day. They finished with 247.5 points. England Central were second with 235 points. Scotland South and East nudged England East from third place, taking it with 226.5 points to England East’s 224.
All English podium in medley relay
English teams claimed the three podium positions in the girls’ 4x100m Medley Relay. England North took an early lead, and managed to hold their dominant position to take the win in 4:23.52. The battle for second place was fought between England Central and England East. East were ahead during the early stages, but Central swam hard to take second spot. Central won silver in 2:25.05, while East followed up for third in 2:25.52.
