First Appointments to new Swim England Board Announced

Following the decision to become an incorporated organisation with charitable status, Swim England are pleased to announce the first steps towards creating a new Company Limited by Guarantee: The Amateur Swimming Association (Swim England) Limited.

As part of the governance changes that will support this new organisation, a Swim England Board will be set up. This will replace the current Group Board and Sport Governing Boards, which will be dissolved during the course of 2018.

As part of the first round of appointments, we are pleased to announce that Neil Booth has been appointed as a Member Nominated Director. David Burgham, Chairman of Swim England North West said on hearing the news,

“On behalf of the Swim England North West Region, we would like to congratulate Neil Booth who has been elected as one of four Member Nominated Directors on the newly formed Swim England Board.  This has come about following Swim England becoming an incorporated organisation with charitable status. Jane Nickerson, Swim England CEO has stated the four directors represent a wide mix of knowledge and understanding about all areas of our sport.  As Chairman of Swim England North West Region, I believe Neil will bring a great deal of experience to this position and his election is recognition of his hard work and dedication over many years in swimming.”
