The Swim England North West Regional Pathway Programme has been running since January 2018. Upon successful completion of the trial and first year, the Swim England North West Management Board have approved a further years funding to run from September 2019 to July 2020.
The programme is set up to support swimmers, coaches and clubs throughout the Region. In overview, swimmers from across the Region are selected to access long course training sessions at Manchester Aquatics Centre, where they are also offered a number of support service sessions including; physiotherapy, nutrition, biomechanics, physiology, strength and conditioning, performance lifestyle and sport psychology.
The Regional Pathway Programme will continue to be based on a three way partnership between Swim England North West Region, City of Manchester Aquatics Swim Team and Manchester City Council.
Swimmers selected for this programme have been considered by the following process:

Wild Card Option
If you feel that you have a swimmer who would be eligible for the wild card option, please send a request to email@example.com with a summary as to why they should be considered for the programme. Please note that all wild card entries must have the full support of the home coach.
New Swimmer to the Region
If you have a swimmer who meets the criteria above and has recently moved into the Region, please email their name to firstname.lastname@example.org as they will also be eligible for the programme.
