This weekend, 24 enthusiastic divers from across the Region made a splash at Manchester Aquatics Centre for the first in a brand-new series of Regional Diving Development Sessions.

Led by Libby, Diving Coach from City of Leeds Diving Club, and supported by coaches from Burscough DC and Manchester Aquatics DC, the opening session set the bar high. Adding an extra burst of inspiration, British Olympic Diving Medallist Anthony Harding joined the team on poolside – offering guidance, sharing tips, and showcasing world-class technique that had every athlete captivated.

Organised by the SENW Diving Management Group, this exciting programme aims to boost opportunities for both athletes and coaches, raising the standard of diving across the North West. Each workshop in the series will spotlight a different skill area, with this first instalment diving into the theme of ‘Entries & Hurdles’. Two more sessions are already lined up for December and January—so stay tuned!
