Yesterday, we welcomed over 40 athletes on to the regional development programme to our first session held in Wigan.

The swimmers did an excellent job of representing their clubs and we hope they enjoyed the day and took something away to help them in the future.

The coaches on the Programme this year were Andrew Ferns, Alison Hurst, Dan Austin, Irene Tsoutsa, Joel Weston and Meg Pendleton. Led by the lead coach this year Ian Ingman assisted by Leanne Pridding as the Physiotherapist who led the land training and supported the swimmers during the day with the assistance of Lucy Vaughan.

Swimmers are selected for this programme based on their 200m Individual medley time at the time of selection and are age 13 by the end of the year.
