Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part in the Swim England North West Regional Masters Championships 2024 last weekend,

The Directors of Swim England North West Limited and Regional Office Staff would like to thank the Swimming Management Group, Officials and Volunteers for their tireless effort and support of the 2024 Championships.

Over the weekend 4 records broken.

Emma Wills of York broke the 400m, 800m and 1500m British records for the 45-49 years age group during the 1500 swim. She also broke the European record for the 1500m. In the afternoon session she broke her newly set British record for the 400m and set a new European record for that distance as well.

Colin Ovington of Gateshead and Wickham broke the 400m record for the 55-59 years age group.

The 240+ 4×100 medley relay team from Warrington Masters also broke the British record.

The Region could not host these events for the swimmers without the support of all the individuals involved in the competition.
