Congratulations to the Under 14 Girls Team ‘North West Thunder’ who won Silver at the Inter-Regional Championships in Walsall this weekend.
Captain, Abbie Evans was also awarded ‘Most Valuable Player’ at this event.
In the intial matches, NW Thunder won their games against Scotland Saltires (15-3) and London Sharks (6-4) – ranking 2nd in Group A as they moved into the Play-Off Stages.
In the Play-off NW Thunder were drawn against South West Sharks and after a tough game, came out on top winning 8-6. This result took them into the ‘Gold Medal Match’ where they played against South East. The girls put up a great fight, however the South East took gold at the final whisle winning the match 9-1.
