Amber Blundell of Burscough Diving Club represented North West’s Burscough Diving Club at the GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships recently.

The Competition took place at Sandwell Aquatics Centre, Smethwick, West Midlands between the 27th and 30th June 2024.

The GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships form an important step for young divers on the pathway to the top of the sport.  Once an athlete has competed at a NAG Diving Champs, they become ineligible – except in certain circumstances – to compete at the National Skills Finals, the step below NAGs.

Amber’s qualifying score was among the highest going into the competition. On the day, her excellent performance placed her 9th out of 22 divers competing for the medals. With this result, Amber has secured her place in the top 10 divers for England’s National Age Group.

Coach Carlos Ferra expressed pride in her accomplishment.
