Swim England North West would like to welcome Carol Hughes as the President of Region for 2023

Carol has been involved with swimming since her son began at Warriors of Warrington who she still follows to watch participate in Iron Man events.

As a keen swimmer Carol is looking forward to experiencing everything aquatics has to offer during her tenure as president and is going to participate in an artistic swimming taster session and join in some open water swimming if the temperatures ever start to rise this year.

Carol has held a variety of roles within the North West Region such as Welfare officer, Team manager, Time keeper, Arena League Gala Director and the following;

2009-Current – County Secretary for Cheshire Swimming and Water Polo Association

2009-2013 – Hon Secretary of Halton Swimming Club

2006-2009 – Hon Secretary of Warriors of Warrington

2005-2006 – Membership secretary of Warriors of Warrington

As president Carol is looking forward to being involved and hopes to attend as many regional events as she can this year.
