Swim England North West held their first ‘Awards Night’ for a number of years at the weekend.
The event took place at the Holiday Inn Express, Leigh Sports Village, Leigh on Saturday 5th October 2024.
Nominations for each of the awards were received by the Region via the Swim England Awards submission process where entries closed in July this year.
Upon receipt of the nominations, all entries were carefully anonymised, before being forwarded to an independent panel of 3 members who were given the difficult task to select a shortlist – from the shortlist, they were able to select the Award winners for each category.
The Awards evening was well attended, special thanks go out to Rick Atkinson for compering, Jim Wilks for his opening speech, Olympic Diving Medallist Anthony Harding, SENW 2024 President Mark Ralph and SE 2024 President Janice Whittle who between them presented awards, to Josh and his fabulous team from Sync Productions and not forgetting Andrew Tunney Magician who wowed everyone with his tricks!
Congratulations go out to all those who were nominated for this year’s Regional Awards, especially to this year’s Winners who will progress onto the Swim England National Awards final which is due to take place at Birmingham University on the 30th of November.
