#BigThankYou is the largest celebration of volunteers in grassroot sports across the UK.

This campaign is led by BBC Get Inspired and Sport & Rec Alliance, who showcase the enormous contribution of our sport volunteers to their local communities.

It is important that every volunteer deserves the recognition for the work they do for our clubs and aquatic sports.

Please join in and make sure you say a big thank you to your volunteers.

During December we are encouraging clubs, counties and regions across the country to thank their volunteers on social media using the hashtag #BigThankYou.

The #BigThankYou campaign peaks during BBC Get Inspired Unsung Hero Award at BBC Sports Personality of the Year (Sunday 15th December 2019).

As the winner is announced, clubs and groups across the country are invited to broadcast their #BigThankYou celebrations across social media.
