North West – Water Polo Tournament – Lancaster

The Swim England North West Regional Water Polo Management Group are pleased to announce that they will be supporting Lancaster City Swimming and Water Polo Club, with an Under 15’s Water Polo Tournament and an Under 11’s Mini Water Polo Tournament.

• The Event is scheduled to take place on: 19th May 2024
• From:  1000hrs to 1600hrs
• At:  Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, Doris Henderson Way, Lancaster, LA1 5JS

Under 15’s Water Polo Tournament

The U15’s Tournament

will be played in a split pool set up, with two games taking place at the same time.

Each game will be played as:

• 10 minute games, split into 2 x 5 minute halves, with a 2 minute break.
• Stop clock and 1 minute time out per game.

All Teams entered will be split into two separate groups, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ with the Top 3 placed teams in each Group being brought together to the ‘Play Offs’ stage to decide upon the top 6 positions:

• The 3rd placed Team in ‘Group A’ will play 3rd placed Team in ‘Group B’ to compete for 5th and 6th place overall
• The 2nd placed Team in ‘Group A’ will play 2nd placed Team in ‘Group B’ to compete for 3rd and 4th place overall
• The 1st placed Team in ‘Group A’ will play 1st placed Team in ‘Group B’ to compete for 1st and 2nd place overall

Under 11’s Mini Water Polo Tournament

The aim of the U11’s ‘Mini Tournament’ is to introduce children to ‘Game Play’, the competition format will be decided upon once all entries have been received and will be entirely dependent on how many teams enter.

• The potential format will be 4 to 6 minute games, with a running clock in the tank

Estimated Timings (Subject to Number of Teams entered)

• U15’s Tournament Group Stage Games: 1000hrs -1230hrs
• U11’s Mini Tournament: 12
  30hrs – 1330hrs
• U15’s Tournament Play Offs: 1330hrs – 1530hrs
• Presentation: 1530hrs – 1600hrs

Entry Details

• Under 15’s Tournament – £80 per Team
• Under 11’s Mini Tournament – £20 per Team

There will be a charge of £2 for Adult spectators on the day.

All players must hold Swim England Club Compete/Club Train Membership (details must be provided)
