Competition season is coming!

The synchro competition season is fast approaching and the North West region is gearing up to be a hub of excitement as it hosts several competitions in the coming weeks.

First up is the Combination Cup on 16th September which is being held at the Manchester Aquatics Centre and swimmers from all over the country will be attending.  This is a new competition for 2017 which will allow swimmers to showcase their combination routines – team routines with between 4 and 10 swimmers during which there will be segments where different numbers of swimmers will perform independently.

The competition will span five different age groups (12 & under, 13-15 years,
15-18 years, 15 & under and 13-18 years) in two divisions:

  • Division 1 for teams with swimmers holding Figure Grade 3 or below
  • Division 2 for teams of swimmers who hold Figure Grade 3 and above

The Combo Cup will be awarded to the club with the highest total points score from all events in both divisions.

The North West Regional Synchronised Swimming Championship will take place on 30th September at Broughton pool.  Several clubs from the North West region will be competing in figure, solo, duet and team events in a variety of different age groups.

October 21st sees the North West region host the North of England Synchronised Swimming Championships where clubs from the North West and North East regions of the country will compete for top honours in figure, solo, duet and team event
