In their quest for continual improvement and support for members, Swim England have confirmed that from the 1st November 2023, attendance on both the Chair and Welfare workshops will be a mandatory requirement for Swim England affiliated club Chairpersons and Welfare Officers to complete, the workshop will form part of the required evidence for Club Affiliation and SwimMark Accreditation renewals.
Upon completion of the workshop – the Online Membership System will be updated to confirm the individual’s attendance, during the SwimMark and Club Affiliation process it will be one of the checks being undertaken by Regional Staff for Element 13 submissions.
Clubs are advised that these workshops are free of charge to attend and will continue to be delivered online via Zoom.

- This session is designed to share important information with Chairs on dealing with internal disputes, highlighting the governing document / constitution and how this should support decisions and processes as well as overall good governance.
Club Welfare Officers can register for the Welfare Officers Workshop here
- This workshop is designed to further support experienced or new Club Welfare Officers in dealing with club issues surrounding the welfare of children in given situations. The workshop will build on knowledge already gained through attendance on both the Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Time to Listen workshops.
