Swim England North West Synchronised Swimming – Beacon Games 2019

The Swim England North West Beacon squad took part in the Beacon Games on Friday 31st May 2019, with some impressive results.

The Beacon Games are an annual synchronised swimming competition designed to showcase the talents of the Regional Beacon squads, which is the first stage of the England Talent pathway for younger swimmers.

The 15 strong North West squad comprised of swimmers from City of Salford, City of Preston and Stockport Metro synchronised swimming clubs traveled to Aldershot to take part this year and their efforts were rewarded.

North West swimmer Evie Coupe won the bronze medal for her individual figures score in the 13-15 age category.

North West team finished third overall with a score of 56.27, less than a point behind the winners, Walsall.

Head Coach Jess Fletcher said, “I’m very proud of all of our Beacon swimmers from the different North West clubs who put aside club rivalry and really came together, worked well and support each other to represent the North West with some great results for our region.”

The North West beacon team will return next year, better and stronger, with every intention of builing on their solid performances over the past two years.

Swim England North West Region would like to wish them every success over the following year in preparation for the Beacon Games 2020.
